The Ric Rac Club have found a new home in the Blacksmith and the Toffeemaker , Islington. Who are they? A trio of retro-dressing ladies that met under the gin-soaked hand of fate and became the 'Vintage Mafia' . They embarked on a quest to share their love of clothes, gin and music with other vintage aficionados, mainly via disco. May 11 will be a circus themed night at the North London pub, complete with 30s to 60s tunes, a free raffle and proper scotch eggs. Tickets £6

For the past two-and-a-half years, American singing sensation Miley Cyrus has been desperately trying to shed the wholesome Hannah Montana character which propelled her to global fame.

Speaking in the Independent on Sunday , Alexandra Shulman said she hopes the educational film will illustrate "the difference between fashion and reality and how a fashion image is constructed". The project is part of Vogue 's Health Initiative, which was established a year ago and aims to promote healthy body image within the fashion industry through various pledges - including not using models under the age of 16 and adhering to strict codes of conduct when working with models such as ensuring they are provided with sufficient healthy food, privacy and rest.
